I am very fussy about who my friends are, and the list is short. For all the growling you may see here, I am a good friend once you make it to that list. I'm a very kind and caring person when I want to be. I will go to the ends of the Earth to help a friend, without regard for myself. I'm mama to fifteen cats. They are the number one priority in my life, and always will be. If I ever miraculously have human children, they will be on equal footing with my furkids. If that makes me insane then I will happily claim that insanity.

For the enlightenment of folks who say "Stop trying to act like such a hardass" -- I've (unarmed) faced down people with guns trying to harm people I love, and made the one with the gun leave. I've been the one sitting next to the high risk prisoner being transported by van across four provinces, to make sure said prisoner didn't try to strangle or stab the driver. I've prevented armed robbers from getting access to the mall where I worked security, and I have faced off against a guy whom the HRPD feel is a dangerous offender worthy of four of their guys in bullet proof vests for an arrest. Armed with only my voice and bearing, I had the guy in question behaving like a schoolboy being scolded by his momma. I've been assaulted on more than one occasion and come out the winner. I've worked as security for the Premier's Conference and I regularly work in a vault with several million bucks cash per day passing through. After the life I have had, I don't have to act. To quote Roth, "I've been places with my face, you wouldn't go without a pistol."
